At Balanced Pet Care, we believe every pet deserves care that is compassionate, dependable, and tailored to their unique needs. Led by a licensed veterinary technician, our team provides thoughtful services backed by experience and a strong understanding of animal wellness. Whether your pet needs daily visits, massage, medication support, or extra TLC, we’re here to help them feel safe, healthy, and cared for — so you can have peace of mind.

Ciara - Pomaria/Chapin Area
Owner, LVT, Certified Small Animal Massage Therapist, Fear Free Certified
Ciara is a licensed veterinary technician who has been working in veterinary medicine since 2015. In the summer of 2022, she recognized the need for skilled pet sitting for special needs animals, as well as support for pet owners who need help providing specialized care at home. Her background includes experience in general practice, emergency, neurology, surgery, alternative medicine, rehabilitation, and equine care.
She is certified in small animal massage therapy through the Ojai School of Canine Massage, is a Fear Free Certified Professional, and a member of the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork (IAAMB). In 2025, Ciara earned her national certification in small animal massage through the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage (NBCAAM), and she looks forward to pursuing equine massage in the near future.
Eliza - Columbia Area
Caretaker, Veterinary Assistant, Fear Free Certified
Eliza is an experienced veterinary assistant with professional experience in general practice, dermatology, and integrative care. She is Fear Free Certified and is currently working toward becoming a licensed veterinary technician! Eliza brings both medical knowledge and a calm, compassionate presence to every visit, helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. She proudly serves the Columbia area and is committed to providing reliable, personalized care for each pet and family she works with.
Lucy - Irmo Area
Caretaker, Veterinary Assistant
Lucy brings a strong background in veterinary medicine as both a lead client service representative and veterinary assistant. She has a special interest in dog training and loves participating in barn hunt with her dog, Leo. Exceptionally detail-oriented and organized, Lucy is dedicated to providing attentive, high-quality care and making sure every pet’s routine is followed with care. She proudly serves the Irmo area.
